Sunrise is a sacred time of the day. It signifies the start of a new day, a reset, a new start. It is very peaceful and provides the perfect back drop for Sunrise Daily.
No matter where you are or what you are doing, sunrise is a fabulous opportunity to begin life afresh. You could be lying in bed, feeding a newborn, or out in nature. Some of us live close to the beach, others enjoy the countryside. It’s the moment that’s sacred, not the spot.
However, let’s explore 10 fabulous places to enjoy sunrise. I think i’ll make it my mission to visit each one of them. Especially number 10.
1. Stonehenge, Wiltshire
The summer solstice is a special time at Stonehenge with the sun rising behind the Heel Stone in the north-east and its first rays shining into the heart of stones. do you think we could do cartwheels here? After sunrise of course!
2. Mesa Arch, Utah
Imagine sitting here with your morning brew and a fresh crossant. Absolutely mindblowing vista as the first sun rays create a warm glow under the Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
3. Haleakala National Park, Hawaii
I’m thinking the walk up to this point would be tricky in the dark but boy, wouldn’t it be worth it? On top of the world! I would like to hug my beloved here and watch the magic of the day unfold.
4. Antartica
This place is crazy! Six months of daylight and six months of darness. It would totally screw up my body clock, but worth it. My question is, can you see this incredible view with the steam fogging up your goggles? Worth an eye freeze.
5. Uluru, Australia
As an Australia, I am embarrassed to say I have not yet been to Uluru. Planning our trip right now!! It is claimed to be a sacred energy meridian, an earth chakra, and definitely a great candidate for our Sunise Daily practice.
6. Kruger National Park, South Africa
There is something magical about the people, the animals and the landscape in Africa. Sunrises are balanced with the knowledge that most of the animals would like to enjoy you for dinner. Best to do this journey with a professional guide carrying a loaded weapon!
6. In a van, somewhere
This is a great way to enjoy the sunrise. We could travel anywhere we liked, see a different sunrise location every day, and disconnect from the troubles of life. Yes please!
7. Amalfi Coast, Italy
The beauty of the sunrise is complimented by the incredible urban landscape of this delightful part of Italy. The trick is to not enjoy too much in the evening so you can make it up for sunrise.
8. Orange County, California
Surfers know the beauty of the sunrise. They look for the perfect wave and are greeted by the beauty of the lightshow from nature. I often admire the surfers. I imagine it is an incredibly spiritual experience.
9. Ballooning in Turkey
There has to be champagne involved in this experience. I cannot wait to do the Sunrise Daily vision session in Turkey. We have enjoyed the silence of this journey in the Hunter Valley near where we live, but this would be simply magical.
10. Anywhere you want to be, in nature
